Services

Biomechanical Assessment
Joint alignment and foot posture may be the source of your aches and pains. We can assess this using various measurements of muscle balance and joint range of motion and alignment. This assessment allows us to establish with you an appropriate plan of treatment which may include stretching, strengthening, footwear and sock advice, orthotics, training regime advice or surgery.

Orthotic Prescription

Foot orthotics are often called ‘arch supports’ or ‘shoe inserts’. They are primarily designed to reposition your foot into a more functional position while you walk or run.

There are two major types:

The podiatrists at The Foot Centre are committed to prescribing the correct orthotics for you and implementing them into a successful treatment plan.

If you have any questions about your feet or orthotics give us a call today - even if we’re not the original podiatrist who prescribed them.

Footwear Advice

Unfortunately, not every shoe on the market is right for your feet. Our awareness of foot anatomy and mechanics and the range of footwear available in our local area enable us to determine the best type of footwear for your needs.

The Foot Centre has ongoing relationships with sporting companies and leisure footwear suppliers and retailers to ensure we remain up to date with what is available for you.

The Foot Centre also stocks a range of Keen socks and footwear for purchase and Venosan compression stockings.

General Footcare

At The Foot Centre we pride ourselves on our care of your skin and nail concerns, including corns, calluses’, warts and nail deformities. These services are all provided using sterile instruments and appropriate infection control techniques.

Diabetes Assessment

People with diabetes are potentially at greater risk of developing serious foot problems. At The Foot Centre we will assess your circulation and nerve function and other potential risk factors and advise you on preventative footcare. Ingrown Toenail Surgery

If we are unable to correct your ingrown toenail with conservative treatment, we may recommend surgery to resolve the problem.
